A HUGE THANK YOU to Mark Purvis for spending the day with us and capturing the heart
of Everly's Angels Volksmarch and then creating a PERFECT video!
Everly’s Angels Volksmarch 2016 was a resounding success! An amazing turnout of participants, a huge show of support and interest by the local media, a whopping $10,000 raised for our cause and fantastic weather made for a wonderful inaugural fundraising event! Many supporters drove far distances to be a part of our day and some even ‘joined’ us from as far away as London, England and Eugene, Oregon as virtual hikers. With over 150 dedicated hikers in attendance, Lake Rogers was the perfect spot for Everly’s Angels and our first Volksmarch. As hikers meandered around the 2 mile loop, they were provided with Trisomy 18 awareness and education to boot. A silent auction filled with a variety of quality goods, cookout food and a beautiful lake setting finished off the day.
Volksmarchers also had a chance to hear from Lori Esteve, the founder of the U.S. Cuddle Cot Campaign Initiative, and how the Cuddle Cot positively impacts the grieving process of families. Hikers present were also given an opportunity to check out the Cuddle Cot in person while on site. Seeing the components of the Cot, its size and how it is used all helped hikers to get a better understanding of the importance of this innovative device.
A huge thank you to each and every one of our volunteers who donated their time and energy to ensuring a successful event. On behalf of the entire foundation, we say THANK YOU! We literally could not have done it without you!
We are beyond grateful for each of our sponsors and donors and their unwavering support of Everly's Angels and in our mission. We THANK YOU!
